THE ALPINES

The Alpines are a series of scattered islands in the North East hemisphere of the globe.  They are all that is left of what was once known as Europe.  It is divided into two basic regions, the Northern and Southern Alpines.  The Southern Alpines is a hub of modern technology and civilization, and is part of the NWC (New World Council) but some of the far northern areas are sparsely populated and do not conform to the rules and regulations of the NWC.  (See Northern Alpines)
