The Fight Pit is an Inner City Fighting Venue. For years it was the only fighting venue located inside the Wall that did not enjoy Pro Status, but that was upgraded by the Green Tower City Council at the beginning of 2476. Access to this venue is through a small building that leads down to a large hollowed out underground arena. Fights take place in a large circular dirt pit about a foot deep surrounded by spectators. The whole place is lit with open flame torches encircling the pit.
The bouts here are usually one on one, though some team fights and multi girl battle royales are known to take place. The Fight Pit has a reigning Pit Queen, who will fight anyone that has won three consecutive victories, immediately after the third one. If a challenger succeeds in defeating her they will get the Fight Pit Queen Crown. For the majority of the time period this Queen has been the brown skinned Mexican brawler Maria.
