ACADEMY

Around the age of 13 or 14, girls in Zeldos and most other parts of the world have a choice between entering High School, where they will take general academic classes, or Junior Academy, where they will be trained in various combat arts.  Within Academy there are three options.  Team Combat, Doubles Combat, or Singles Combat.  Girls have the option to switch courses between school years, and a popular route for cross training is two years of team combat, then one year of Doubles combat and Final year in Singles combat.  Also any girl has the option to drop out of Academy at any time and return to academic courses if they decide they are simply not cut out for fighting.  Oddly enough, in spite of the intense amounts of animosity between fighting females at this time of the world, girls who leave Academy are rarely looked down upon.  It has become a sort of universal moral code to respect anyone who has tried but failed to become a fighter once they make the choice to leave.  In fact it is far more disgraceful for a girl who turns out to be not much of a fighter to slog her way through Academy and move on to being a jobber once out in the professional fighting circuit.

If a girl decides to go into team combat, she is placed in one of four Houses, which is determined entirely by the color of her hair.  Girls in these houses live together, fight together and take part in organized tram fights against girls from other Houses.  House Blonde is for girls with blonde hair.  They wear navy blue panties and bras, white socks and shoes.  House Raven is for girls with black hair, and they wear black panties and bras, white shoes and socks.  House Brunette wears red panties and bras with white socks and shoes, and finally House Ginger wears mustard yellow panties and bras with white socks and shoes.  As soon as a girl turns 18 she has the option to take her bra off and fight topless.  The most common style of fighting that takes place between these houses is standard Five on Five melee battles where five girls from each house square off on a large field and fight until only the members of one team is still standing.  Many HEATED feuds develop as a result of these bouts.  

As soon as a girl has her 18th birthday, she is allowed to try out for respective Senior Academy House. There are Senior Academies in most major cities, but of course the most popular is the Grand Academy on Zeldos.  This is located in the Outer City portion of Green Tower City. Each of the four houses has designed it's own initiation trials that the girls must pass through to be accepted by the House of their hair color. 

Senior Academy girls fight topless, and enjoy a wide range of training and a brutal exercise regimen that will turn them into ferocious warriors.  Throughout the Academy season, numerous bouts and tournaments are held and the girls are encouraged to fight as much as they can.
