BEDROOM FIGHTS


A fight between two or more combatants taking place in one of the fighter’s bedrooms.  At one time considered illegal, but lack of ability to prevent such fights from happening, especially after the arrival of Ishmael in recent years made this impossible, and the City Council lifted the mostly ignored ban.  Still, several regulations have sprung up governing Bedroom Fights, and for the most part these laws have been followed.  For one thing the fights have to be willing.  If a girl wants to accept a challenge to a bedroom fight, she need only leave her porch light on and the door unlocked.   This signals that she is accepting a challenge from any comer to a private bedroom fight.  A red light on the porch means she has Ishmael in her bedroom.

Kills in Bedroom Fights are strictly illegal, and if a girl’s opponent is hurt bad enough to require medical attention, she MUST drag the unconscious girl to the street where she can be collected by a hospital runner.  Failure to do so is considered a murder and will result in five years in Green Tower City Prison for the first offense.  20 for the second.  If a third time ever happens, a suitable punishment will no doubt be applied, though to date this has never happened.

Having defeated Tia in her own bedroom, where Ishmael was staying the night, Patti drags her destroyed opponent out to the curb where within minutes she will be scooped up by hospital runners and carted off the the hospital.  

If a kill is made but the fighter can prove she was in danger of being killed herself, charges will be dropped.  Most girls record their bedroom fights for sale as holo-vids, so usually it is pretty easy to determine when a justifiable homicide has taken place
