That's the best thing about doing pure fantasy is I can do whatever I want with these stories. The only rule I stick to is (in the context of the story) the death matches are always voluntary, with each girl being completely confident she will be the one who is victorious.
That would be considered a "clean kill" and although rare they have happened and would result in no punishment. I actually have a lot of this stuff detailed out in my backstory materials which I have not yet published on here. (I will get around to it eventually.) Since it is set so far in the future, technology is such that the fighting venues in Green Tower City are equipped with monitors that can determine if a fighter is near death, at which point the "warning bell" is sounded. In a non death match the winning fighter is expected at this point to strike a victory pose or pin and the fight is then over, but there are also recorded incidents of "dirty kills" where a fighter has gone ahead and dispatched her opponent anyway. (At which point she is automatically drug off to Green Tower City Prison for a term of five years.) I actually have written in a character by the name of Greta who does this very early in the timeline, goes to prison and emerges five years later, when she begins a nasty rivalry with Harmony
I agree with the earlier comment about it this being pure fantasy and the joys of exploring what you cannot traditionally explore in reality is a really joyous thing to do
Thank you! I plan to post it all here eventually. Also I am hoping to post a sort of directory with links to all the stories in the correct chronology at some point too. I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to pin such a post to the top of my blog.
What I like is that you also do deadly fights.

DeleteSo there are no "accidents", such as killing "unintentionally".

DeleteThat would be amazing, but I' am not sure if the blog-format can support you on this.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't seem like it. The only way I can think of to do it is to just re-post it from time to time.
DeleteHow could she defeat such a powerful African girl. :-)
ReplyDeleteEmily is tougher than she looks! And Mary's over confidence was ultimately her undoing!
DeleteI love the look in Mary's Eyes when Emily shoots her hand up and locks it around Mary's throat
