GREEN TOWER CITY PRISON

At the time of Ishmael's arrival back on Earth, there is really only one crime left that is punishable by imprisonment, and that is the crime of murder.  In the violent world of Green Tower City, a deliberate execution of an opponent in a non death match is known as a Dirty Kill and will automatically result in five years imprisonment.  Rarely does such a case require deliberation, but when it does the offender will stand before the Green Tower City Council for judgement. 

Green Tower City Prison stands on a small outcropping of rock separated from the Zeldos mainland on the North East coast of Green Tower City. 

Access to the dome shaped prison is by crossing a retractable bridge that is retracted as soon as traffic has gone across.  Below is a 50 foot drop into heavily shark infested waters.  TO date nobody has ever escaped from Green Tower City Prison.

Here two armed City Moderators guard the entrance to the processing center, located on the mainland.  Once a Prisoner has been DNA scanned as per her sentence, she will be escorted across the bridge.   

The prison itself only has 7 cells, and the cell level is an additional 40 feet straight up from the entrance to the prison.  To get there the prisoners and guards ride on an elevator bridge that connects with the Prison courtyard.  The courtyard is the only place the prisoners can mingle, and they sometimes meet up there to fight, almost always to the death, as the loser will be tossed down the shaft.  From here the prisoner walks down her own separate bridge that is coded specifically to her DNA. Anyone other than a guard who tries to cross her bridge will be electrocuted instantly. 

This all sounds very gruesome but the truth is if a prisoner chooses to simply live out her sentence without escape attempts or fights with other inmates, she can do so in relative peace and comfort. Each cell has a bed, a desk, and even a window with a nice view of the ocean.  The prisoner will be provided with food, reading material and has their own small bathroom.
