THE ZELDOS RIVER
A
large woman-made waterway that runs a mostly straight course from Harbor City
to the outer reaches of Suburbia then veers off around the city and into the
ocean. It is the primary means (and only
advisable one) by which to reach Green Tower City. A system of locks prevents boats from
continuing around the city and over the 200-foot waterfall into the ocean
beyond it. The river itself is consists
of ocean water that is pumped up 600 feet to its mouth in Harbor City, and then
travels downhill over a course of about 1000 miles from Harbor City to the
outer reaches of Suburbia.
